Using the photos

Every photo and video clip on this site was taken by me, the one person behind Between Stations, and is protected by copyright from the moment it was taken. All rights reserved. That includes the versions on Instagram and YouTube.

Sharing a link to a post, or to a photo on Instagram, is always fine and appreciated.

Personal, non-commercial use with a visible credit "Photo: Between Stations" and a link back is usually fine. Ask first by email and say where it will appear; I nearly always say yes, and I like knowing where they went.

Commercial use, which means anything that sells, promotes or is paid for (a travel company's website, a print for sale, a paid social account, an AI training set), needs a written licence. Email with the photo, the use and the audience and I will quote. Higher-resolution files exist for licensed use only; nothing on this site is published above 2000 px.

Not permitted without a licence: re-uploading photos to stock sites, print-on-demand shops or social accounts as if they were yours; removing the credit or the embedded copyright data; editing a photo and presenting it as an original.

I publish anonymously. Email: EDIT your blog-only address. Please put "photo licence" in the subject; for a paid licence I will give you a name for the invoice at that point.
